报告内容:

This “history” of our studies of the economics of biotechnology started30 years ago at the beginning of CCAP.We conducted the first study of the impact of a GMO crop on small farmers in a developing country. We found moderate impact on yields but important economic and health impacts because farmers made big reductions in pesticide use. This was followed by similar studies on rice and corn. I speculate about the impact of these studies on China’s recent decision to approve cultivation of GM corn and soybeans. The paper also discusses the impact of these studies on CCAP and future potential biotech related research topics. It finishes with an appreciate of CCAP's collaboration on these studies and how they helped my career.
